A Fleetwood owner recently stated that water filters were being installed backwards and that this could result in a safety issue. The water filter manufacturer advises that there is NOT a safety issue if the filter is installed backwards. The only negative consequences of installing the filter backwards is that it may clog sooner in extreme circumstances (not expected to be encountered in an RV connected to potable water). If your filter is installed backwards, there is no need to change it other than under normal maintenance and certainly do not reverse and reuse the same filter.
