To the west is Bristol Head and to the east is Wheeler Geological area. There is endless exploration by hike, horse, our UTV (side by side). There are an abundance of rides right from our site as well as big day rides a short trailer away. Those include the incredible Alpine Loop, Stony Pass, and many more. In one day, you can ride your UTV to Silverton for lunch and enjoy the afternoon walking the historic streets, then return the 35 miles back to the Creede side of the mountains. You'll climb passes over 13,000’, hike to the headwaters of the Rio Grande River, or pull into American Basin in full bloom with the wildflowers of Colorado filling the valley.
It would be remiss, to leave out the fishing. Who doesn’t love grilled rainbow trout! From the reservoirs to the rivers, fishing is literally a 5 minute walk away. Those rivers and lakes provide endless exploration by kayak, canoe, or rafting trips as well.
