About 

The Noreaster Discoverys chapter of DOAI was started in January 2017 at the Southeast Region Rally in Florida. The chapter was accepted and chartered by the Board of Directors of DOAI in 2018.  Our application for tax exempt status (507-C7) was accepted by the IRS on August 12, 2019.

Our mission was to enjoy the northeast United States, which included travel, history, and friendship of members and quests continues to this day. The COVID pandemic made rallying very difficult because of laws and statutes that barred many types of gatherings. During this time, we developed a close relationship with the Midwest Discoverers Chapter and were able to expand to other areas where gatherings were allowed. By holding joint rallies both chapters enjoyed our missions successfully. This relationship continues today with many folks belonging to both chapters. Case in point, our chapters are jointly hosting the 2023 DOAI National Rally in Greenville, Ohio.

Past rallies venues have included Niagara Falls, NY; Mystic, Connecticut; Wisconsin Dells (joint rally); Bedford, Pa (joint rally); Lancaster, Pa (joint rally). Plans for 2024 rally are in early stages.
